MedspeakUK A person who, for the purposes of equal opportunity monitoring, has an Asian ethnic origin, which includes (but is not limited to) British Asians, regardless of where they were raised or educated.
MedspeakUS A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent, including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
