(hī″ō-sī′ă-mŭs) [Gr. hys, a pig, + kyamos, bean]The dried leaves of the plant Hyoscyamus niger; a narcotic that also acts as an antispasmodic. A relative of atropine, hyoscyamus is also known as henbane.
