Metoprolol in Dilated Cardiomyopathy trial. A clinical trial that evaluated the additive effect of metoprolol on fatal and non-fatal cardiac events in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy.

Conclusion
Seven-year survival (80% vs 62%) and transplant-free survival (68% vs 51) were significantly higher in 127 metoprolol treated cases than in 127 controls.
