Rhodococcus
(rō'dō-kok'ŭs),A genus of rod-shaped, gram-positive, partially acid-fast, aerobic bacteria found in soil and in the feces of herbivores. Some species are pathogenic for animals and humans. The type species is Rhodococcus rhodochrous.
