Vesalius

 [vĕ-sa´le-us]
Andreas (1514–1564). Flemish anatomist and physician, considered the most eminent anatomist of the 16th century. His De humani corporis fabrica libri septum (Seven Books on the Structure of the Human Body) was published in 1543. He was also a pioneer in ethnic craniology and experimental and comparative psychology.
