Acute Brain Bleeding Analysis. A trial assessing the risk of haemorrhagic stroke in patients taking low-dose phenylpropanolamine or other sympathomimetics.
 
Primary endpoints
Recurrent stroke, MI, vascular death, serious adverse events at 2 years.
 
Conclusions
Phenylpropanolamine in appetite suppressants, and possibly in cough and cold remedies, is an independent risk factor for haemorrhagic stroke in women.
