(ă-trip'li-sizm),A triple genus includes saltbush, quail brush, and wild spinach. Intoxication caused by the ingestion of certain species of Atriplex, a plant eaten as a green vegetable (like spinach) in China; it is marked by pain and swelling of the fingers, spreading to the forearm; bullae and ulcers form, and the fingers may become gangrenous.
