exsufflation

(ĕk″sŭ-flā′shŭn) [″ + sufflatio, blown up]
Forceful expulsion of air from a cavity by artificial means, such as use of a mechanical exsufflator. Exsufflation is often used to simulate a cough and remove secretions from the airway.
