pass facilitation in the nursing interventions classification, a nursing intervention defined as arranging a leave for a patient from a health care facility.
proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) a neuromuscular treatment method for restoring movement and mobility using sensory inputs to direct motions in diagonal patterns; it emphasizes that movements must be specific and directed toward a goal.
self-responsibility facilitation in the nursing interventions classification, a nursing intervention defined as encouraging a patient to assume more responsibility for his or her own behavior.

facilitation
The general DEPOLARIZATION and passage of an impulse that occurs in a nerve cell when excitatory inputs at SYNAPSES exceed inhibitory inputs.Collins Dictionary of Medicine © Robert M. Youngson 2004, 2005
facilitation
a residual effect that enables (facilitates) a second impulse to be transmitted across a junction between a nerve cell or effector cell where a first impulse has failed to cross it. There is thus an increase in responsiveness, resulting from the SUMMATION of impulses, and this is called ‘facilitation’.Collins Dictionary of Biology, 3rd ed. © W. G. Hale, V. A. Saunders, J. P.
