fibrinase

Factor XIII, an enzyme in the blood coagulation cascade that catalyzes the formation of side links between fibrin molecules so as to create a mesh of polymerized FIBRIN that stabilizes the blood clot. Fibrinase is also known as the fibrin-stabilizing factor. See also Factor VIII, IX, XII.
