A poisonous substance produced by the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus that has been found to interfere with the ‘stickiness’ of MACROPHAGES and to inhibit the process by which the immune system recognizes transplanted tissue, infecting organisms and cancer cells as ‘foreign’.
