The study of the blood and blood disorders. The main subjects of concern are the various forms of ANAEMIA, POLYCYTHAEMIA, the HAEMOGLOBINOPATHIES such as SICKLE-CELL DISEASE and THALASSAEMIA, PURPURA, HAEMOPHILIA, clotting disorders and the LEUKAEMIAS.
