lignocaine

Lidocaine, a widely used local anaesthetic drug which may be given by injection or as a topical application. It is also used by intravenous injection in the treatment or prevention of acute disorders of heart rhythm such as VENTICULAR TACHYCARDIA and VENTRICULAR FIBRILLATION.
