 [noo-trĭ´shun-ist]
a person who uses the science of nutrition to help individuals improve their health. There is often no accreditation process for nutritionists, and those using the services of one should examine his or her qualifications carefully. In contrast, a Registered dietitian (RD) has been certified as qualified by the American Dietetic Association.
