pilomatricoma

 [pi″lo-ma-trĭ-ko´mah]
a solitary benign calcifying tumor of hair follicle origin manifested as a sharply circumscribed, firm, intracutaneous nodule, usually on the face, neck, or upper limb and presenting before age 20. Histological features include a fibrous stroma surrounding nests of basophilic cells and ghost, or shadow, cells.
