(pŏ-lē-tĕ-tră-flŏ-rō-ĕth′ĭ-lēn),

PTFE

A synthetic polymer that has slippery, nonsticking properties. It is used in a variety of products, including vascular grafts used to bypass obstructed blood vessels and grafts used for dialysis access.
