Any microscopic object resembling a small bacillary organism or other bacterial form.

pseudobacterium

A nonspecific term of waning use for any structure seen by light microscopy that simulates a bacterium; because a “formal” term often implies the existence of an entity a sui generis, a noncommittal term such as “bacteria-like structure” may be preferable.
