pseudogeusesthesia

(1) A term of waning use for a form of dysgeusia characterised by the perception of tastes in absence of an appropriate stimulus; in practice, these nuances are not always regarded as important.
(2) A rarely used term for an altered taste sensation linked to sensation from another modality—audio, tactile, visual.
