[re-pul´shun]1. the act of driving apart or away; a force that tends to drive two bodies apart.
2. in genetics, the occurrence on opposite chromosomes in a double heterozygote of the two mutant alleles of interest.

an arrangement in a double heterozygote where a WILD TYPE allele of one gene is adjacent to a mutant allele of another gene on the same HOMOLOGOUS CHROMOSOME.
