Eikenella

 [i″kĕ-nel´ah]
a genus of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria with a single species, E. corro´dens. Organisms are part of the normal flora of the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract but may cause infections of the head, neck, and abdominal area, and general systemic disease.
