acrocephaly

, acrocephalia (ak?ro-sef'a-le) (ak?ro-se-fal'ya) [acro- + Gr. kephale, head]
The condition of having a malformed cranial vault with a high or peaked appearance and a vertical index above 77. It is caused by premature closure of the coronal, sagittal, and lambdoidal sutures. This defect may be seen in Apert syndrome.
