pseudodiabetes

1. Latent diabetes mellitus.
2. A clinical condition characterized by defective carbohydrate metabolism 2º to chronic renal failure–uremia, with ↓ glucose tolerance–rapid post-prandial rise and delayed return of glucose to normal, mild baseline hyperglycemia and insulin 'resistance'. Cf Diabetes.
