sulfinpyrazone
[sul″fin-pi´rah-zōn]a uricosuric compound used in gout to promote excretion of uric acid; administered orally. It also prolongs platelet survival and inhibits platelet adherence to subendothelial cells and prostaglandin synthesis and has been studied as an antithrombotic agent.
